Happy Halloween from Hilltop Farms!!! 🎃 👻

A teacher reached out to me few weeks ago asking if I would be willing to set up a pick your own pumpkin patch for the special-needs children of Maynardville Elementary School . And when she explained to me that these students do not get to go on field trips like the other kids, it really put it on my heart to make this happen for these kids. I encourage everyone in the community, if you have the opportunity to do good and help somebody else, do it, and thank God for the opportunity.

Started harvesting some of my sunflower heads this evening. Looks like it’s gonna be a good harvest this year. I hope to use the seeds from these to plant a quarter acre field next year. It’ll be right on Maynardville highway across from Heiskells service. Everyone that drives by will be able to enjoy it! 🌻🌻

I’m completely sold out of corn. It’s been a good growing season this year. We were blessed with a LOT of rain early this season. Which did good for a lot of people’s crops. There will be a few new things to look for this next growing season. I hope to build a permanent produce stand where I can leave my produce throughout the day for people to purchase. This will allow me to start growing my tomatoes and peppers again, among other things. I hope to post updates about my progress, so keep an eye out for new posts if you’re interested. I finally I just wanna thank all of my customers who come out and support my farm every year. Without yall and god, I wouldn’t be able to do what I do. I hope to see you all next year.

I am sold out for today, but I will have more. Starting Monday at 8 Am corn will be available at Heiskells service station. All you can fit in a grocery bag will be $5. It will have damage and and make not be completely full. But if you’re looking for some corn to put up for the winter it will do you just fine. It’ll also be some good eating corn for boiling or grilling.
