We’re a seasonal business, open in Spring starting about May 1st to Fall. Offering top-notch quality plants and seasonal produce. Located in central West Virginia in the beautiful rolling hills of the Appalachian Mountains. We've built a reputation for great customer service, in depth knowledge for plant care and accurate growing information. We grow a great selection of plants, Including Blooming hanging baskets, Annuals, Perennials, Succulents, Vegetable starts, Herbs, Tropicals, House plants, Fall Mums and more. We also have a satellite location/roadside stand during Summer, twice week located near Fayetteville, WV. For the best selection it’s best to get here early.

• One pumpkin per kid, while supplies last.
• Kids have to be present so they can pick out their pumpkin. No exceptions!

A Piece of Our History
We’ve had a lot of new faces in the store lately, so we thought we’d share a little of the Sizemore family history behind our name.
These photos are of a family store in Clay, West Virginia, more than 100 years ago.
📸 Photo 1 - Sizemore Brothers Store, Clay, WV – 1930’s
Groceries, dry goods, furniture, and gas: One building that served many of the community’s needs. That’s believed to be Washington Irving Sizemore standing out front by the old gas pump.

This is how the old store building looks today, still standing after all these years.

This one shows the old store as it was, complete with the “GAS” sign and the old Sizemore Bros. truck out front.

John Alexander Sizemore, who built the store, is seated front and center holding the baby. It’s a look into the past of a hard-working family and a piece of the history behind the Sizemore name.
📸 Photo 5 - 1919 Promissory Note
A $140 note (roughly $2,700 today) from Clay County Bank to J.A. Sizemore. Likely money used to help grow the store and the family business.

Our store today is a separate location, a separate building, and a separate business from that historic store. But we’re proud of where we came from and excited for what’s ahead.
And now, as we get ready to add a deli to our store, we like to think there’s a little bit of that Sizemore spirit behind it all.
