I just put a brand-new spin on a Texas classic over at The Humble Crumb, and let me tell you—it is absolute magic. Introducing our Brown Butter Pecan Texas Sheet Cake!
We took everything you love about the traditional crowd-pleaser—that ultra-moist, tender crumb and rich chocolate goodness—and took it up a notch. We browned the butter for the frosting to give it that nutty, caramel-like depth, stirred in a generous handful of toasted Texas pecans for the ultimate crunch, and poured it all over the cake while it was still warm so it soaks in every single decadent drop.

Happy 40th Birthday to my amazing partner, Tony! To celebrate this big milestone, he requested something special: a cake that was actually good for him but didn’t sacrifice any of the flavor.
I am so proud of how this Zero Sugar Chocolate Berry & Almond Cake turned out! It’s proof that you can have your cake and eat it too, even when you’re watching your sugar intake. Seeing Tony enjoy his day with a treat that fits his lifestyle makes my heart so full. ❤️✨
