I bought these reusable purée pouches on Amazon and I have been making puréed foods nonstop! Here are the flavors from left to right: sweet potato/carrot/apple, pineapple/apple/peaches, blueberry/banana/vanilla, and apple/carrot/curry! 😋 I have to stop myself from keeping them as a “mama snack” because they are soooo good!😂 We use them as snack pouches that are readily available for any reason. Her main meals are not purée, which is explained below ⬇️

We use the baby-led weaning approach with our baby, where we offer softened whole foods as a progression to regular meals. She never started on purées when we began this journey last month! Since beginning, she has tried almost 40 foods! 🙌

We use the pouches as a snack but will use them as supplemental meals. Our baby loves food, but is still sampling them at this point. A lot still ends up in the high chair or on the ground 😅so to make sure she’s getting some nutrients outside of her usual breastmilk, we give her one of these to help out. She loves them and they are great on the go! I also love knowing exactly what’s in them because I make them myself.

That freshly baked cookie smell 🍪 one of the best scents ever! Do you eat yours right off the pan & sweetly suffer in silence or patiently let it cool completely (like a psychopath 🤪)?

A long, wayyy overdue with my current fave smoothie combo: blueberries and chocolate 😋 recently, I could only find vegan chocolate protein powder at the store and now I can’t go back to vanilla. To others, you look so healthy eating this gorgeous, deep purple smoothie bowl. To you, it tastes like dessert AND is still good for you!

Chocolate Blueberry Smoothie
1/2 frozen banana
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1/2 cup plant milk

1) Blend it all up! For a an even chocolatier boost, add a teaspoon of cocoa powder and a handful of oats to thicken it up more!
2) For a bowl, top it! I topped mine with banana, apple, flax, chia, cinnamon, and cocoa powder.

We decided long before she was born that our approach to introducing solids would be baby-led weaning (BLW). I decided to create this baby-safe banana bread, and if you swipe ➡️ you’ll see that it is Lil Happy Eater approved!

The banana bread is naturally sweetened with ripe bananas and contains no wheat/gluten, dairy, or eggs. It has 6 simple ingredients babies love and are easy to digest. Perfect for tummies of all kinds!

Since she turned 6mo in early March, she has tried 30 foods! 🙌 Sorry, just had to celebrate that real quick 😊

Chocolate + PB + banana = a match made in oatmeal heaven! I am an oatmeal fanatic. It is a staple I need to have almost every morning (besides my yummy protein smoothies) and it’s like having dessert first thing in the morning despite being totally healthy! 😋 being a first time mom of a mobile baby, I need my meals to be QUICK. It takes all of 5 minutes to make and keeps me full for hours. •
🍫🥜🍌 oatmeal:
1) Heat 1/2 cup of oats with enough plant milk to cover the oats for 1:30 in the microwave.
2) Stir in 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder and sweetener to taste.
3) Swirl in some PB and flax.
4) Top with banana and cinnamon and enjoy! 🥣

When you can’t choose what to have for breakfast, so you make it all! 😋 I woke up with a sweet and savory palette this morning, and I luckily had just the right ingredients to make my perfect Sunday morning breakfast 🌱

On my plate: tempeh scramble (recipe below 👇), fresh berries 🍓, and toast with vegan cream cheese and sweet potato chai butter (tasted like pumpkin cheesecake!).

Tempeh Scramble:
-tempeh, cubed
-veggies (mushrooms, green pepper, onion, tomatoes)
-spices (salt, pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, nooch, all to taste)
1) Heat choice of oil (1tbsp) in a pan over medium.
2) Throw everything else and sauté until it’s all softened.
*This method helps the tempeh better absorb the flavors of the spices and veggies. If you like your tempeh a bit crispier, sauté it in a separate pan until it reaches your desired crispiness!

Tonight’s dinner (by request of the fetus): homemade tomato soup 🍅 and a toasted mushroom-tomato-avocado sandwich 🥪 It really made for a delightful pair! The tomato soup contains fresh basil and thyme from my herb garden and was also super easy to make! Took only 15 minutes! Better than that processed stuff in a can, right? 😋

🍅 Tomato Soup 🍅
1/2 diced yellow onion
2 cans diced tomatoes, unsalted
1/2 cup water or plant milk
1 tsp fresh or dried basil
1/2 tsp fresh or dried thyme
1/2 tsp fresh or dried oregano
Dash of garlic power
Pinch of coconut sugar
Salt to taste
1) Sauté onion on high until soft.
2) Add rest of ingredients and simmer together.
3) Take half of the mixture, blend it, and dump it back in.
4) Serve hot with your fave toastie 😛

Recipe will be up on Kulinarian soon!
