Hey, bakery friends!! I’ve got some business updates for you.
After reviewing the financials of the last 5 months, and giving it some prayerful consideration, I have made the decision to end my time at Shades Mountain Mercantile. I am so incredibly thankful to everyone who supported my booth there, and for everyone at SMM for giving me the opportunity. ❤️ I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received and for all the new acquaintances made through SMM, and especially being able to reunite with an old homeschool mom/friend from my childhood. It was definitely not a wasted opportunity, but as the final quarter of 2026 approaches it just didn’t make sense for me to continue pouring into it.

As a small business owner and a wife and mom, I constantly have to think about what works best for, not only my business, but also my time and my family, and right now I need to be putting more energy into areas of The Little Bakery that are thriving, such as pick up and delivery days and big events in town. Y’all know I like to be open with you about my decisions so there is no room for confusion AND so you can keep up with how to get your bread 😋, so I wanted to make this post and share the news with you. While I did hope the opportunity would be longer lasting, I’m not sad for it to end but very thankful to have had the chance to try!

All that said, I do have a few items left that I picked up from the store today. They will be HIGHLY discounted and available for pick up this evening or tomorrow. I’ll post in comments a list of my available items. Just comment or message if you’d like to come pick up. 💕

Happy Monday!

All things apple flavored and a few other early-Fall favorites like caramel apple cinnamon rolls, butterscotch cream pies, and cranberry orange granola have been added to the menus this week!
I also have sun-dried tomato sourdough and roasted garlic and Parmesan sourdough available for ordering! 😍

Schedule:
Thursday- pick up in McCalla 2-6 PM
Friday- 🚚 delivery 10:00-1:00 PM, pick up in Mccalla 2-6 PM

If for some reason you’re not in my delivery area and want to be, please just let me know!! I’ve had to adjust the delivery area a few times because it’s just a little tricky to get it exactly right. 😅🤣

FOOTBALL is back!!! If you want yummy treats for game day, or savory breads to dip in delicious dips or cheeses (I mean… cheddar jalapeño sourdough with buffalo chicken dip for game day?! COME ON!), get those orders in ASAP. 🥰🏈🐘

🥐 croissants are also on the menu this week and they are going FAST, so don’t wait!

If you’re getting into sourdough and/or milling your own flour, I use wheat berries from Sunrise Flour Mill and Grand Teton Ancient Grains They’re my absolute favorite and consistently the best quality products. 😍

Happy Friday!! We had all sorts of family fun today while the bakery was closed. 🥰 Thank you for allowing me to be flexible in my schedule! That’s part of what makes this business so wonderful.

September menus are going up and next week is already ready for orders! All things APPLE and MAPLE and BUTTERSCOTCH are headed your way! If you’re new, here are some of my seasonal favorites that will be back now that Fall is on the way.

Shades Mountain Mercantile is having a jewelry show this weekend on Saturday, August 29th from 10:00-5:30. Go in by and grab your snacks from my shelf at the front of the store and then walk around and enjoy all the beautiful things. 😍

Reminder— I normally drop off at shades mountain on Fridays but the bakery is closed tomorrow so we switched it up a bit! I’ll be back to my usual schedule next week. 🥰

Good afternoon and happy Monday!! It’s been a whirlwind over here— started kindergarten, had an appointment, and dropped off a few extra loaves over at Shades Mountain Mercantile this afternoon. I am not a go, go, go type of person so this is definitely a week that I will be implementing and remembering the fruits of the spirit 😅

If you haven’t ordered for this week, don’t forget to do so ASAP!! This week’s schedule is a little different because of some plans we have on Friday, so make sure you pay attention to texts and links!

Hey friends!! Just a quick August schedule update so you can plan when to order next…

This Thursday, August 20- pick up in Mccalla
This Friday, August 21- shades mountain mercantile drop + delivery day

NEXT Thursday, August 27- shades mountain drop and delivery day. No McCalla pick up scheduled as of right now, but I’ll update if that changes.

Next Friday, August 28- The Little Bakery, LLC will be closed. We officially start kindergarten next week and Jonathan and I have a very special surprise planned for the little bitty baker 🥰 I can’t wait!

Happy Birthday to The Little Bakery, LLC! Four years ago I officially started selling cookies and bread from my home. I absolutely cannot believe it’s been 4 years. I had a 1 1/2 year old… what was I thinking?! 🤣
It’s been a fun and sometimes wild road over here, but the bakery continues to grow, by the grace of God, and thanks to all of you amazing people who continue to support my business. I can’t thank you enough!!
