Orange yolks used to be a sign that your chickens were raised on grassy pastures filled with bugs.
Now, the Grocery Industrial Complex has figured out a way to mimic that color with SCIENCE.
Some folks are shocked that our yolks aren't orange 🍊. But to be completely honest, there just isn't that many grass hoppers, crickets and earthworms in the sand soils of coastal South Carolina.
Also, feeding your chickens corn can add a lot of depth to the color of the yolks. Since we are corn free and soy free, were fighting an uphill battle in the egg fashion game.
