Some yards are for Honey some yards are for Bees. Mating yards are a critical element to my operation. In my experience, nothing beats a quality queen mated properly in your area.
Proud to be working with Purdue and Indiana Queen breeders association, raising some of the best Bees in the country.

Smelling wet socks or funky laundry by the hives ? That’s Goldenrod. One of my favorite lines from an ol’ timer mentor , “you’ll only sell goldenrod honey to someone once”

A lot of Beekeepers talk about the fall flow. I look back with a smile and say I am the fall flow. Winter survival is the defining characteristic of good bees and good beekeeping. A good beekeeper is is always at least a season ahead ;)

Just dropped off some of the last strawberry whipped honey from the state fair. This is the smoothest, butteriest, creamiest whipped honey in the city of Indianapolis. Come get it at Smoking Goose . Honey elixir‘s also in stock. Make sure to order your honey smoked ham too :)

Taking down the bee hive that survived the flood. This hive was rescued from the flood waters of white river by myself and Sticky Fingers Farms. Looking back I wish I put more hives on the roof. Someone told me their granddad kept bees in this area and kept them on the roof. Now I wonder if this was why.
