I don’t know about you , but has this been a time of change, transition , appreciation, letting go , moving on and connecting for anyone else ? Hot Damn.

The smell of death and funk after flooding is too stank for my high standards of raw honey. These are just things , I will have more things. They will be better . Focusing on what’s important. You do the same :)

It’s hard to express gratitude when it’s beyond words. After losing two dozen of his own good production colonies, Ron Bastin of Joseph Bastin donated new clothing to people in need and donated to me , a truckload of freshly extracted honey supers , 2 dozen lids and a smoker!

I’ve lost hives before, but never like this. I’ve been hurting, throwing away what took me 15 years to build. Ron was able to ease this burden with an insanely kind gesture, and hardly a word spoken. He’s not seeking the attention, him and I know I don’t need to post this. But goodness in the world should be shared. Thank you Bastin bees for helping me. It’s a lot easier throwing your hard work away when someone gives you theirs. Ron may your generosity be returned 10X

I woke up today with this song and memory in my head. This was the first time I learned how to really put beekeeping equipment together. Many of these people have been my close friends now for over a decade.

RIP Sam Dodd, who recently past , who taught us our foundation of beekeeping knowledge and so much more about life. It’s good to hear your voice again friend.

I’m already dreaming about the build back.

While most Beekeeper harvest, honey. . One special thing I harvest is perfectly timed emerging honeybees. For the past several years, I’ve worked along Corteva Agriscience Agriscience for research and development of honeybee safe, agricultural products for the betterment of the world. I get up early to do this work and I have to be in the hive’s most sensitive area. This takes special timing, equipment, techniques, and skill. I’ve tried making the world a better place while doing what I love and I feel this work contributes beyond my time. If you support this, please consider helping me rebuild my hives after loosing 1/2 of all my beekeeping equipment to record floods. A link is on my home page www.hardwoodhoney.com . Thank you 🙏
