It has been a full day of feeding, busting ice, putting out cubes, keeping the fire going at the parents, making sure they had wood inside. We had a first calf heifer have a baby and it freeze on the spot. Thankfully we was right there to get it. The tractor has froze up and we just now got it running but it's dark so we will try in the morning to get more hay out on the hill. It's not for everyone but I thank the good Lord it's for us. We have food to eat that we know where it came from. We have animals to sustain us if needed. They also can pay a payment when we can't. It's all for one around here and I'm thankful for that too. Many times we wouldn't have been able to do it without the help of our family. Including the babies who have went out several times today busting ice to water the cats and chickens. Shiloh Mtn. Farms
