We had a quick getaway last night to see Trace Adkins for our anniversary ❤️ Came home this morning to prep the farm the best we could for the rain and wind coming our way. The after photo of us wasn’t as good as the before!
We know God is in control and that’s what we are leaning on but the fear from Helene is real.
Thank you to all our farm guests for understanding when we canceled our tours this weekend.
Farm family please remember our farm, community, and all of those in the path of this storm in your prayers. As you can see we are already under a lot of water.

It’s been a little while since we’ve introduced one of our girls…

We’ve had a LOT going on around here lately, but this beautiful girl has been patiently waiting for her turn in the spotlight. And honestly, this special soul deserves it.

✨ Meet our gorgeous Vanilla Bean ✨

Vanilla Bean is one of the sweetest, most laid-back girls in our pasture. She has such a gentle spirit about her — the kind of cow you can simply stand beside and feel a little more at peace. And, of course, she’s also one of our most photogenic girls!

She’s the half-sister to our bull, Sampson, so when you visit and see her in another pasture, you’ll understand why.

But perhaps one of our favorite things about Vanilla Bean is the special friendship she shares with our Longhorn, Mable. These two are best friends, and when Mable was having her baby, Vanilla Bean stayed right by her side. She was the sweetest little support system.

There’s just something about watching animals care for one another that gets us every time. They have their own friendships, their own bonds, and somehow they remind us that love doesn’t always need words.
And maybe that’s why Vanilla Bean feels like such a special soul here at Carolina Sky Highlands. She has that quiet, gentle presence that makes you want to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and stay awhile.

We are so excited to see what the future holds for this beautiful girl. We have no doubt she’ll pass those same sweet, gentle traits on to her babies someday.

Vanilla Bean, you may have taken a little while to get your introduction, but some souls are worth waiting for. We sure are thankful you found your way into our farm family.
