PJ Alpacas, Inc.

PJ Alpacas, Inc. Our Mission at PJ Alpacas, Inc. is to breed high quality suri alpacas and to offer great fiber and rovings for spinners. Keep watching for updates!

Our goals are to breed suri alpacas and to share our love and passion with all present and future alpaca owners. Our focus is on developing a sustainable herd of quality, affordable suri alpacas for the marketplace – fineness, luster, density and consistent lock structure. Like breeding any livestock, our passion will always be a work in progress as we strive to improve the genetics and quality of

our herd. We pride ourselves on our growing alpaca venture. This is our only business and our time is devoted full time to this wonderful lifestyle. In order to daily provide the care of all animals on our ranch, we intend to keep it small and manageable to accomplish this goal. We are slowly adding fiber arts and going green with alpaca manure.

We took our little "Stormie" to one of the nursing homes here in town and had so much fun. They had a little fund raiser, a petting zoo for the residents, their families and the public. Stormie was so spoiled and loved and petted. I think maybe she didn't want to leave. Brought her home and she actually didn't want to get out of the car. What a fun day and such a learning experience.

The alpacas are so enjoying the cooler weather now. They don't even want to spend any time inside the barn - even at night they are sleeping outside. I love to see them like this.

After taking almost a year off from marketing our alpacas, we are soon to be up and running with our new web page. We some how lost our web page and all the info in it, lost some alpacas over the winter, sold some alpacas and now we are going to start fresh. Our little farm store, "Treasures of PJ Alpacas" will soon be re-stocked and ready for our Fall visitors. We are so excited to take Stormie to the Alden Terrace Nursing Home in a couple of weeks.

Anyone know how to get rid of these crazy, nasty advertisements on my page? I have tried to no avail.

More snow is expected this evening, and my daughter just called and said it was already snowing at her place.

We have had to make so many changes with our alpacas and their home, that I am welcoming the snow so much more than the rain because our pastures are a mess.

We are offering exceptional pricing on our alpacas - all of the ones that we have left are blue ribbon winners and are desperately looking for new homes, where it is high and dry. Right now we can't offer them that.

Check out our web page and give us an offer. No fair offer is refused.

The ground is frozen - snow is still on the ground and it is raining. This all makes or a mess - a big time mess!. Our whole front yard is a lake, as well as the side yard. The pastures are full and 2" in the little barn. Walking out to the big barn the water goes over the boots. All animals had to be transferred to the new barn (which isn't ready but it is dry) all in the messy rain. God Bless my husband - he sure had his hands full today.

We are just setting up our shearing date!! Let us know if you want to be included - the more there is the cheaper it is. New shearers this year and they will do all the "hard" work, we will just bag the goodies. If you want to come help or see how it is done, send me a message and I will give you details.
