Ghost Horse Highland Farm GHHF on the border of the Daniel Boone National Forest in KY, USA, specializes wool sheep and naturally gaited KMSH and MP Horses.

Welcome to Ghost Horse Highland Farm! We are a family owned and operated small business with a special love for Mountain Pleasure & Kentucky Mountain Saddle Horses with crème gene double dilute genetics. Most of our horses are white, ivory, or cream colored with pale blue eyes. Their official colorations are cremello, perlino, and the extremely rare smokey cream. The 149 acre farm is located in eastern Kentucky near the border of the Daniel Boone National Forest. Special Note: The Ghost Horses are featured in the fantasy world of The Fairy Lore of Ghost Horse Hollow by Anne Severn Williamson. This is what we are doing to our planet in the name of economic progress. What is wrong with us? Are we a flawed species? What other species would deliberately destroy its own environment for profit? We must change on a deep level. This is not acceptable and not sustainable. Rivers matter. Fresh water matters. Animals and plants matter. Trees matter. We are the problem we must fix. Gold. Copper. Uranium. Lithium. How can we switch to a plant based/sustainable economy? Because this...this... is not going to work.

Gold and mineral mining in and near rivers across the tropics is degrading waterways in 49 countries, according to a Dartmouth-led study. Published in Nature, the findings represent the first physical footprint of river mining and its hydrological impacts on a global scale.

Homestead Happenings 🥰 🏡 This time of year we are dehydrating potatoes from the first planting, harvesting the last of the onions, and getting ready to prepare another batch of tomatoes for sauce. We grew Rutgers Heirloom and Beefsteak tomatoes this year. This handy, cheap plastic tool did a great job slicing veggies! I'll post the corn and sunflowers this weekend 🌻🌻🌻💗 September is still a good month to plant turnips. So, gonna give it a try this fall 🍁
