Lampert’s Market was started as a McKeesport neighborhood grocery store, butcher shop and deli in the 1930’s by the Lampert family. The current owners, Jan and Rick Kugler, who took over the business in 1993 remain dedicated to preserving the quality service that their customers came to rely on by doing Everything to Order – Cut to Order, Wrapped to Order and Always Fresh.

I can’t believe it but Christmas is right around the corner already! (in just 20 days 🎄🎁❤️).

Today we will be sharing our Standing Rib Roast recipe, for a holiday dinner idea.

Ingredients:
5 lbs Lampert's Market Standing Rib Roast, Cut and Tied
1/4 TSP. Ground Cloves
2 Garlic Cloves
2 TSP. Oregano
1/2 Cup Olive Oil
2 TSP. Salt
1 Small Bottle of Red Wine
1 Carrot Sliced
3 Onions - Thickly Sliced
3 Sprigs of Parsley

Directions:
Insert slivers of garlic in top of the roast. Mix all ingredients and marinate for 24 hours. Turning Frequently.

Remove roast from marinade and place in pan, fat side up.
Roast at 325 degrees for:
Very Rare: 15-17 minutes per pound - 130 degrees
Medium: 18 - 20 minutes per pound - 150 degrees
Well: 22-28 minutes per pound - 165 degrees

Internal Temperatures are the same for any roast of any size.
When the roast is done, open the oven door partially and let it stand for 20 minutes with the heat turned off. Snip the strings and slice.
