We will be having a large meat sale of some overstocked products to make room for new inventory that's coming in for farmers market season, so come get it while prices last! I will post pictures of cuts, quantity available, and price below. All animals were raised on our farm in Pillowville and are USDA-inspected and approved. Good morning, we just wanted to give everyone a quick update on what's going on with meat sales. Monday we will be having 1 lamb and our last Kune Kune hog processed. Last year We started breeding larger heritage breeds such as our durocs and herefords which reach butcher weight much faster and provide a much better product over all and have been trying to get out of kune kunes and this is the last one to go. We will have around 100 pounds of various lamb cuts and 100 pounds of pork sausage, tenderloin, and roasts going to Nashville farmers market, so if anyone wants any cuts let me know so we can serve our local customers first. We also have expanded our hay and row crop production equipment and will be offering 4x5 round bales this summer. I am looking to lease a few more row crop acres locally because as we grow our hog operation we need to grow our crop acres for feed grinding. If anyone has good tillable fields ranging anywhere from 1 to 100 acres in Weakley, carroll, Henry, or Gibson counties they would like to lease message me and we can work out the lease agreement. I have had so many calls today about pricing, so here is our price sheets for pork and lamb. I should have a beef price sheet up in a day or two. We are already sold out of pork, but will have more processed around the end of the month. We currently have all lamb cuts aside from chops, rack, and ribs available. I will be calling tomorrow to get a date for more lamb to be processed, so if anyone is interested in racks, lamb chops or ribs, message me to reserve an order. They are usually the first cuts to go. Beef should start being processed regularly in about 2 months. Once again we want to extend a huge thank you to our community for all the support we have received thus far. We are truly blown away by receiving such a strong support system, and it has far surpassed all expectations. Please be patient with us as we get into the swing of things, and hopefully very soon we will be able to keep all your favorite cuts of beef, pork, and lamb stocked at all times with no waiting periods. I realize that some prices are a little higher than what you may pay at the grocery store, but I promise you that buying local grass fed, grain finished beef or lamb, and pork that was raised humanely will make you realize that the flavor and quality of the product you receive from our farm is unmatched. Alexander Livestock just received a 100 on our CIS retail meat inspection. We are proud to supply a safe and sanitary USDA inspected product to the public and want to thank God as well as everyone along the way who has made our dreams reality. We are proud to say that we offer an unmatched quality of farm raised meat options and are honored for the opportunity to let our family feed your family. We also want to give the Tennessee department of Agriculture as well as the usda farm service agency a huge shout out for helping small farmers such as myself with all the resources needed to be successful. As a small farmer without the programs, education, and support they have provided us none of this would have ever been possible. .
