Next up was chicken processing, 14 birds going to freezer camp. It took 12 weeks, pasture raised on organic feed to get them ready. Our 11 year old did at least 4 of them by himself this time, getting more proficient every-time he does it.

By this time next year we will be fully free from buying meat from the grocery store, so close to that goal all ready.

Sheep butchering day!

We don’t import our meat from out of country, we raise in our own pasture and supplement with organic feed. Our animals are raised in small herds, loved and cared for individually on a daily basis and provide our family the best quality meat.

It’s a labor of love and intentionality to eat the healthiest quality food we can. No mystery meat for us!

Raw milk, raw eggs, local honey and cocoa for hands down the best and healthiest ice cream you could have. Yum!
