eers. Humboldt Regeneration is a Sustainable Farmhouse Brewery which means we are growing our own grains and hops. The barley and wheat are malted on site and we offer a Community Supported Brewery program (CSB). The CSB program is a growler exchange that is similar to a weekly food box from a CSA farm. Our artisan crafted non-traditional Belgian style brews are created by our owner/brewmaster Jacob Pressey. Please visit our website for beer descriptions and also for more information on our Community Supported Brewery program and our Keg Club!

Big day at the beer-farm today, we planted out a bunch of seed varieties that we have been seed-saving, plus we brought back an old heirloom wheat that we haven’t grown in a few years! I am extra excited to be planting out our seed stock of the Chevallier barley, it’s an old English variety that is thought to be one of the first malting barley’s. It has taken a handful of years to propagate enough seed to be able to plant a section in the field because it was originally a tiny seed sample from the USDA seed library and it has been slowly building in quantity protected in small patches in the garden… until today!

Photo descriptions:
1) Chevallier malting barley graduating from the garden bed to the field.
2)Conlon 2-row malting barley grown on-site a few seasons ago.
3)Heirloom Hopi Glass Gem corn that has been grown in the permaculture garden for a number of years.
4)Heirloom black beans and Mammoth sunflowers from the Humboldt Homesteaders permaculture garden.
5)The seed line-up for our propagation patch this year including organic Faba beans for inter-planting between rows for a little extra nitrogen and some home-grow arugula - both will be seed stock for fall cover crop planting in the no-till barley field. Also the seed being re-introduced into our rotation this year, a heritage wheat variety that was grown historically in Northern California - Foisy wheat.
6)Super healthy McKinleyville-grown soil.

Last growler-fill day - Saturday May 30th unless we run out of beer sooner! Here’s the final line-up before I move these beers up the hill… there might be one more sour added to the list in the next couple of weeks.

We might be running low on beer here at the HRB Growler Station but you can head up the street to for a flight or a pint of up to 6 HRB brews plus the first few 6RB batches that I brewed on their new brew system!

You can also find a couple other establishments still serving multiple HRB brews on-tap including &

Stop by this Friday to sample the first batch made on their new brew system and enjoy your last flight of Humboldt Regeneration beer!
There will be at least 8 HRB brews to try plus two new 6RB brews including one on nitro!

If you can’t make it by on Friday there will still be a selection of the final HRB brews available at 6RB until they run out and you can also find a few other locations around Humboldt who are currently pouring multiple HRB taps - in McKinleyville, in Trinidad, and in Eureka.

Big Changes In 2026!

We will be moving our brewing operation out to the beer-farm this year which will allow us to focus more attention on the educational side of our mission, to re-localize craft beer using regenerative land management practices. Stay tuned later in the year for our first round of seed-to-glass themed educational farm tours, intermediate brewing classes, and other homesteading related skills workshops!

There is still time to stock up on some pressurized growler fills at the HRB Growler-Station before the big move, we will continue our normal Thursday and Saturday hours till June.

Our founder and brewmaster has officially been recruited by our neighbors up the street to take over beer production in their new brewhouse!
Keep an eye on their beer-board for some classic HRB recipes and Seasonals that will be rotating in along side their house brews… and stay tuned for an HRB tap-takeover that will be announced very soon!!
