Will I regret grazing the cows around the flower field with nothing but flimsy electric netting separating these hungry beasts from my newly plated flower field?

We rotate our 2 dairy cows around our 10 acre farm to give them constant access to lush green grass. The new flower field is located in one of the pastures in their rotation. Because grass is limited on our small parcel, we need to give them access to every patch of grass possible.

I’m just hoping that they will respect the fence!! 🫣

We are so lucky to welcome back the incredible Erica Brannon for her third year as a specialty teacher at farm camp 🌟

Erica is an early childhood educator, performer, artist, and the heart behind Little Global Dragonflies ()—a program devoted to culturally inspired art, nature connection, and early child development. She creates spaces where kids can explore movement, storytelling, art, and the natural world in ways that are joyful, inclusive, and deeply meaningful.

She’s traveling all the way from LA to join us on the farm again this summer, and we would love your support in helping make her visit and programming possible.

✨ Donations help fund:
• Travel expenses
• Art and nature-based materials
• Outdoor classroom setup
• Expanding access to these beautiful programs for more kids

Her mission is to nurture children’s social-emotional growth while building connection through culture, creativity, and nature—and we’ve seen firsthand just how powerful that is.

If you feel inspired to support this work, you can donate through the link/QR code in the flyer (or contact her directly )
Every bit helps bring this magic to life💫

Erica, we adore you and cannot wait for another unforgettable summer 🫶🏽

Yesterday we welcome two fuzzy little additions to the farm. Our Angora goats always kid in early spring and are experts at choosing the perfect sunshiny day to bring their babes into the world. ☀️
This mama, named “Emerald”, descends from a long line of strong and exceptional mamas who originated from one of our very first (and favorite) does, named “Sapphire”.
Sapphire was dark grey/black, had bright blue eyes, and was super friendly and easy going. Sadly she passed a couple of years ago, at the respectable age of 14 yrs, but her spirit lives on through her beautiful daughters and grandkids. 💙🐐

It’s poppy season! 🌸
The first signs of spring flowers about to pop with color always start with the ephemeral Icelandic Poppies.
We don’t have enough other blooms to make it to market yet, so you’ll have to swing by the farm to get your hands on these beauties.
This is officially your excuse to get outside, visit cute farm animals, and hug your flower farmer 🧑🏻‍🌾 💐
