Did you know that bees sleep? While out gathering pollen, bees don’t always make it back to their hive before exhaustion sets in. Instead, they take short naps called “sleeping on the flower.” These industrious insects will settle onto petals, clinging tightly with their legs, and enter a state of rest to recharge. This behavior, often seen in bumblebees and honeybees, allows them to conserve energy mid-foraging. You might spot a bee curled up on a flower at dusk or early morning, looking cozy and still, before buzzing off to continue their vital work of pollination! 🐝🌸
