Today is just an absolute gorgeous day for Jan 12. Beautiful day to be out working with livestock.

2026 kidding season started yesterday with 12 yr old Sochi kicking it into gear.
This morning had quite the rain storm and was sure someone would go, but thankfully they have waited for the sun. Out waiting on Stella girl before I have to leave.

Plenty of milkers, yearling and kids will be available this year as we really need to cut our numbers down.

Update: shortly after posting I found Roux (Nubian) doing her thing and gave us twins B/D and then decided I better really check on Stella as she did need some assistance. Also gave us twins B/D, unfortunately the doe was already DOA.

I (Cody) decided to take a small amount of goats to the National Dairy Goat Show that is being held in Grand Island Nebraska. I brought 6 Senior Yearlings. 2 alpines, 2 Oberhasli, and 2 Recorded Grades. It has been quite the experience for me and the goats with it being one of the longest shows I have been to since my county fair days. I’m glad to have some extended goat family here around me and making sure I’m fed well and looking after my goats at night.

Will be posting some better pictures of the goats later today or tomorrow.
