What is Biodynamic Farming?

Biodynamic farming goes beyond organic. It views the farm as a living organism that’s self-sustaining and follows the cycles of nature to create a diverse and balanced ecosystem. It promotes the overall health of the crops and livestock while returning life back to the soil, the way nature intended.

Brave Cellars is 100% sourced from Momtazi Vineyard, an acclaimed Demeter-certified Biodynamic vineyard in the McMinnville AVA.

Biodynamic farming is a holistic approach to farming based on the belief that the earth’s ecosystem, lunar calendar, solar calendar and humankind all play an important role in agriculture. Biodynamic farming follows all of the same practices as organic farming, meaning they use no chemical pesticides, herbicides, added sulfites or mega-purple.

We celebrate earth day everyday by our practice of biodynamic farming. The vineyards that make our wine is certified biodynamic. This means, no chemicals are used in growing the grapes. In a culture of sifting through chemicals in our food and drinks, drinking Brave a good choice!
