On Friday, 1/30/26, while many are participating in a national strike, the Mac Market collective has mindfully chosen to remain openânot because we donât stand in solidarity, but because as small businesses, closing isnât something we can sustainably do.
Many of the businesses within Mac Market are choosing to show up in their own ways, including donating a portion of proceeds to local and national organizations supporting immigrant communities. We encourage you to follow and engage with each business directly to learn more about how theyâre participating.
Thereâs no perfect way to respond in moments like thisâonly thoughtful ones. Weâre grateful to be part of a community that shows up with care, intention, and humanity.
We also want to share that weâll be hosting a previously planned community event on Friday: the unveiling of the Birdcall Booth, a new public art installation by the McMinnville Public Arts Committee, created to invite listening, reflection, and connection.
We hope youâll still join usâincluding free pours from .barâs small producer wine residentsâto gather, support one another, and experience something made for the community.
