It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of our Forest Grove tasting room. For the last 32 years, this tasting room has been the heart of Montinore Estate and an important place for us to share our wines with the community. We are extremely nostalgic about the wonderful memories we have made here but the time has come to find a new home for the Montinore Estate tasting room. Our new t

asting room is called The Grove, honoring our roots in Forest Grove. This space will give us the capability to expand the Montinore Estate experience in an exciting new ambiance. Located in the heart of downtown McMinnville, The Grove is within walking distance of many of the Willamette Valley’s great restaurants and shops.

Our vineyard rows do double duty as wildflower habitat. Diverse, organic cover crops between the vines support pollinators and fix nitrogen into the soil, feeding our developing grapes naturally. On site, our bee boxes house multiple honeybee species that boost biodiversity and produce honey we hope to feature in the tasting room someday. Small workers, big impact. 🐝

It's May in the vineyard. 🌿

Right now, our team is out between the vines doing the quiet, hands-on work that Biodynamic farming demands, cultivation around the vines, removing extra shoots by hand, and keeping the ecosystem in balance.

No shortcuts. No synthetic sprays. Just people who care deeply about the land they've been farming since 1982.

This is what Oregon Wine Month looks like from the inside. And it's why what's in your glass tastes the way it does. 🍷

Happy Oregon Wine Month! 🍷🌿

For us, this month is a reminder of why what's in the glass matters just as much as what's in the ground.

We've been farming the Willamette Valley since 1982. Our 200-acre home vineyard in Forest Grove is Demeter Certified Biodynamic® and CCOF Certified Organic, two of the most rigorous certifications in agriculture. That means no synthetic pesticides, no shortcuts, and a deep commitment to the living ecosystem beneath every vine.

What does that translate to in the bottle? Pinot Noirs bursting with bright berry and warm baking spice. Pinot Gris layered with citrus and herbal complexity. Whites and Italian varietals you won't find anywhere else in Oregon.

Raise a glass with us this May. 🍷

What a weekend. Our 2026 Spring Wine Club Release was everything we hoped it would be, two evenings of beautiful wine, seasonal bites from Chef Heather Ciprani, and conversations with Winemaker Brandon Moss that reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

To our members who joined us: thank you for making it so special.

This Earth Day, we're celebrating our commitment to sustainability - one cork at a time!

At Monitnore Estate, we choose natural cork closures because they're not just better for your wine - they're better for our planet. Here's why:

Renewable & Regenerative: Cork comes from oak tree bark that regrows every 9-12 years - no trees harmed!

Carbon Champions: Cork oak forests absorb up to 73 tons of CO₂ for every ton of cork produced

Completely Biodegradable: Our corks return to the earth naturally

The Numbers Don't Lie:
• Cork stoppers: ~13g CO₂ footprint
• Aluminum screwcaps: ~37g CO₂ footprint

When you open a bottle of Monitnore Estate wine, you're supporting biodiversity, carbon sequestration, and sustainable forestry practices.

Small choices, big impact. Happy Earth Day! 🌍
