Yesterday we celebrated Saint Isidore. Over the years, we have come together as farmers to join in honoring the saint, celebrating our harvests and our friendships with one another. Javier was tasked with hosting this year and he did a great job. It was an honor to pass Isidore unto him and his farm for the next year!

It's that time again! Onion harvest. From little bulbs planted in the fall to yummy full grown onions in the spring. Of course, they are really only yummy after being sauteed in butter but that is a personal opinion! And at least it isn't a record heat wave this time!

The crazy hot and cold weather has the onions thinking they are going to die. Snapping off pods this morning... Amazingly enough I still managed to miss some! Probably why Chris is the farmer and I am not!
