A beautiful day to do goat things

Yesterday after work, I went to the hardware store and then home to do chores. I
fed the goats, fed the livestock guardian dog, checked poppy (she was due soon), fed the cows, turkeys, chickens, collected eggs, and came inside and started dinner.

I put the chicken on the grill and got carrots in the oven. I wanted to keep an eye on Poppy so I checked all my live cameras in the barn and saw poppy was pushing and had a sac out. I ran to the barn helped Poppy deliver twins (boy and girl) and ran back to my grill to wrap up dinner. Just as my husband was getting home.

We ate and I planted 242 starter seeds (added to the 160 I already had) and I cleaned up the kitchen, rebuilt and organized my mini greenhouses and finally went to bed! Way late.

But I was feeling pretty proud of my hustle.

Meet our two newest f2 nigora babies. (Sorry for the photography 😂 I was in a hurry and my battery was low so I didn’t stick around to take many pics) I’m sure I’ll post more pics soon.

It's time to meet the newest members of our family! Toffee welcomed four lovable Nigora babies on Friday at 11pm, and despite a difficult delivery, they're all flourishing.

I've named them after nuts, a delightful pairing with Toffee. Learn more about the three bottle-fed kids, each with their own unique story

It's almost baby time at the new farm! Our mamas are due in the coming weeks, and we're putting the finishing touches on our preparations. The barn is spotless, the stalls are built, and this week, we'll be tackling vaccines and hoof trims.

We can't wait to meet the new arrivals!

And, for those interested, we have two bucklings, two proven bucks, and two wethers available. More mamas and babies will be available soon.
