The greenhouse is looking a lot different than it did just a few weeks ago (second picture). Figs are out of their heated bed and ready to party 😍
We’ve increased our production 100% from last year and now at a cool 85 trees for the 2026 season!! Who else is ready to eat their weight in figs this summer? 🙋🏻‍♀️

Well folks, that's a wrap on fig season 2025! It's time to start prepping the fig trees for the colder months so that we can come back even stronger next year.

We wanted to extend a giant THANK YOU to the community for the overwhelming support in our first season. From selling out our little fig operation every week, to positive feedback and ideas for our business moving forward. We appreciate you all!!

Anyways here’s what we’ve been growing lately; figs are just starting their season and the greens/herbs have been a powerhouse staple in the greenhouse.
You can find our greens at Appalachian Roots Trading Post as available through the seasons, or message us to stop by the farm!

You ever just uproot everything and move to Virginia? What a year! It feels so good to be back home in the mountains. We have been busy getting our high tunnel up and running for Southbound Farm 3.0! We are still finishing up our irrigation for our hydroponics, but for now we are swooning over these FIGS growing up beautifully :')
