Be careful when buying hay this time of year. Obviously, we all know about moldy hay or dusty hay, but a very harmful invasive w**d to equine is foxtail. I have some Timothy/Orchard for sale. I have put up a few pictures of foxtail vs Timothy heads. Foxtail is the greener w**d on the left & Timothy on the right. At a less mature stage foxtail & Timothy do resemble each other. Foxtail seed heads will always have little burrs on it & Timothy seed heads kinda looking like cat tails near a pond.
