Every farm has that standout element - a special dog, a remarkable cow, a trusty tractor, or a pivotal year that stands out for its extraordinary crops, whether abundant or challenging.
Inspired by Jaimes' dream, we started our own flock of sheep about 5 years ago. One of our first born ewes became that one special lamb. We named her OG, (The Original). She met us when we came out to the barn just to say hi and get a pet; the others just wanted hay. Last week, OG was in labor; unfortunately, a nose was the only thing presenting. We tried all our efforts to get the feet first. With no luck, we got the vet out to the farm. We had to do a C-section; unfortunately, we lost a set of twins, and the next day, we also lost OG. We lost that one ewe that just had the personality that makes farming even harder. It's never easy with a loss on the farm. This one hits harder.
