I love using fresh produce when mixing up our sausage. We ad jalapeños and Hungarian hot peppers to our hot Italian sausage . We also made sweet Italian sausage . We have canning pickles for sale $15 a half bushel green and yellow beans for $12 a half bushel . Lots of green and colored peppers on sale by the peck and half peck. Roma tomatoes are still on sell for $15 a half bushel. Lots of things under our fresh out of the field tent.

Yesterday was move in day . The grooves in the concrete are to prevent the animals from slipping and bruising or breaking something . It was the first time our animals ever saw them or I ever used them. I was amazed at how they seemed to stay or not get over the imaginary line . One step closer to get back to normal . Final grading and seeding will happen next week with fencing upgrades to be finished after that . We don’t need any more episodes like Friday night where ten of these guys decided to sample the Sweetcorn across the road and then take a little stroll up 174 and visit the neighbor hood 🙂 . I can’t wait to show you the ceiling fans in action once the electrician gets them hooked up . Of course the wife isn’t happy the animals have these and we don’t have central air yet in the house .

Well tomorrow we move our animals into our new finishing barn . It’s hard to put into words how great full Dari and I am to be able to keep my grandparents and parents dream alive . To get to where we are today would not have been possible without your support . Most of all a few who believed in me ( and you know who you are) along the way encouraged me when I got down on myself. Gave me work when our farm income didn’t pay the bills during the year , why I chased a dream to provide our beef and products to the community . The movement to take beef straight from the farm has never been stronger . The butcher shop has been so busy it’s impossible to describe the feeling I have when I look through the window on a Saturday and watch the line continue to grow all day.
All I can say is dreams do come true when you chase them !
