Just your friendly neighborhood farm that has adapted to change. Once a prosperous dairy farm, Basehore Farm has evolved and begun to practice new avenues of farming. When the cows were sold in 1998 dairy farming was becoming difficult. Seeing an opportunity a few years down the road, we began growing produce and selling it out of our market. Each year we would continue to gain customers and have the ability to expand our market. We now have a greenhouse and sell christmas trees in the winter season. We open in the spring with spring produce and flowers, as we transition to summer our produce changes. As we near halloween we get busy with pumpkins and all the items that pertain to fall. We are then typically closed January, February and March. We hope to see you on our farm soon!

We have a great supply of fresh mums and pumpkins as we head into another fall weekend!

At this point in the season we won’t be stocking too many more stackable/funky pumpkins. New inventory is going to consist of various size orange carvers.

Dad and I spent Monday and Tuesday while we were closed hauling and sorting fresh inventory for this week!

We are gearing up for the first weekend in OCTOBER!!

MUMS galore! All sorts of colors blooming.. BUT nothing here at our farm is at full bloom. We have tons of life left in our mums. We specifically choose later blooming varieties that give you color all month.

Talking Breads got a load of pumpkins for the bakery entrance! Thank you guys! If you haven’t been there, go buy a chocolate croissant, you won’t regret it!

Welcome to 🍉🍈 Melon Monday 🍉 🍈

Our third farm to table dinner this season!

The team from Aura Modern Mediterranean partnered with us here at Basehore Farm Market to highlight some of the best local fruits, WATERMELON AND CANTALOUPE.

While PA melons were in peak season we decided to highlight them and serve up some unique dishes to our guests.

Watermelon salad, followed by a beef slider with a slice of melon. Mahi mahi fish tacos with melon salsa. The 4th plate was a cantaloupe chili glazed shrimp dish. Our last dish of the evening was a watermelon cheesecake.

These dinners have become such a good time for us. Seeing all the guests enjoying a delicious meal, conversing with one another, under the newly renovated pavilion and surrounding buildings is an experience we want to keep creating.

I often get asked how to attend these events? The answer is shop the store or support the restaurant. We are keeping it a touch old school. When we decide on a date we start sharing that date with patrons of our businesses.

Speaking of dates…. Monday October 12th is our next one. It might just be the last one for 2026.

You must stop into our market or the restaurant to get added to the list. Zero tickets are sold online!!!!

While we were closed Monday and Tuesday Dad and I kept our foot on the gas pedal trying to get stocked up for another fall week!

The weather finally aligns with fall and we are loaded on awesome pumpkins.

Farmer Tom was in the mum field Monday getting another application on them, and boy do they look great this year. Big and round and loaded with healthy blooms.

New season, local sweet potatoes and onions in store now too!

Shop local, buy pumpkins. 🎃
