Our sunflowers in the upper portion of the u-pick garden look gorgeous right now. They might be a really pretty background for Homecoming photos tomorrow if anyone is interested.

I won't complain about all the rain, especially after 2 years of drought, but these cosmos have taken a beating between the high winds and heavy rains. They are resilient, though.

Annie gave us a surprise today! When she didn't calve with the rest of the herd this spring, we thought she wasn't bred. We kept the bull at our place longer than usual last year. Calving today means that she conceived right before the bull left to go to my dad's farm.

We named her Scarlet (scarlet for scarlet and gray since the Buckeyes played today).
