Hey!! You there!! It may be dreary outside but we’ve got good news!!!!! The freakin holiday market is today and it’s gonna be so flippin amazing!! We’ll have TONS aid veggies - all the colors of the rainbow don’t worry - and all the other vendors are gonna have so much beauty and cuteness! So moral of the story - the Pizza Bones Holiday Market today, 12/19, from 12-4pm is gonna be the mother hecking place to be this afternoon!

These Jedi Jalapeños are some of the biggest we’ve ever grown!! They are so so so perfect for making stuffed poppers y’all - you gotta get some!! Our favorite way to make poppers is to stuff them with cheese and dates then wrap them in bacon and cook them on the grill!! We’ll have some of these beauties at today so come on by!

August - when everything is honestly quite damp, slimy and slugging around here. But we wouldn’t have it any other way (I mean we could go for a lil less plant disease and under b**b sweat but you get it..) We are knee deep in melons and the peppers have really hit their stride so we’re eating them like apples. And before ya know if you’re spotting sweet potato flowers to remind ya that fall is just around the corner! We’ve still got space in our fall CSA - we’re closing it next Thursday so sign up today or you’ll miss out!!! Link in dat bio yo!

This is what pure farmer joy looks like - melon testing! Not all of these babes were all the way ripe - peep that yellow water melon in the corner that still has a ways to go, but there’s nothing more satisfying than cutting open a ripe melon! Get your melons today at we’ll have a few this week!! Folks always ask us how to tell when they are ready and the answer is honestly half sight and smell and half a feeling. For cantaloupes and honey dews you can see color changes, but the real kicker is when they smell sweet! For watermelons it can be a little more of a gamble. You wanna look at where the watermelon is attached to the vine to see if the tendrils and stem have started to die back and you gotta cut a few open! Then you match that sweet sweet feeling of cutting into and tasting a perfectly ripe melon with the physical signs you noticed in the field and your harvest protocol is born! 🍉🍉🍉

We’ll be set up this week alongside and for the first time .rva with fresh pasta and treats!!! Be sure to keep an eye out for the beautiful blooms we are sometimes lucky enough to bring along as well!! Some come on down, get ya self a pizza and a drink and get your shopping done!!
