Norway is back at the World Cup for the first time in 28 years, and they made sure their players wouldn't have to touch American food while they're here. The squad shipped more than 1,000 pounds of traditional Norwegian food to their base in Greensboro, North Carolina, including roughly 661 pounds of salmon and white fish, 255 pounds of brunost (the country's caramelized brown cheese) and 6,000 oranges.
Leading the operation is chef Aron Espeland, who has cooked for the national team for 35 years and brought two sous chefs with him to handle every meal. He expects the players to eat through all of that fish before the tournament is over.
