🍑 JERSEY PEACHES ARE HERE! 🍑

If you've been following our updates this spring, you've heard us talk about the devastating freeze of April 21 that virtually wiped out the South Jersey peach crop, along with most cherries, plums, and a significant portion of the apple crop. For months, we honestly believed there would be little to no New Jersey peaches available this summer.

As it turns out, there is one bright spot.

Fralinger Orchards, located south of Bridgeton along the Cohansey River, managed to save a portion of its peach crop thanks to a unique combination of geography and microclimate. Being that far south and near the river appears to have provided just enough protection on that critical night to allow a meaningful crop to survive.

The result? We have some genuine Jersey peaches at the market this weekend! 🍑

The first variety of the season is Rich May, and while quantities are limited, we're hopeful we'll be able to continue bringing Jersey peaches to Medford throughout the summer. We also have excellent South Carolina peaches available, so either way it's a great weekend to enjoy one of summer's favorite fruits.

🫐 And don't forget — Jersey blueberries have arrived! The first of the season are here and they're every bit as good as you've been waiting for.

Our Jersey Fresh selection continues to grow every week and now includes peaches, blueberries, sugar snap peas, shelling peas, ROMANESCO Cauliflower! cucumbers, Kirby cucumbers, greenhouse tomatoes, broccoli, beets, cabbage, zucchini, asparagus (last chance!), spinach, herbs, eggs, and much more. We're also stocked with beautiful organic vegetables from our own farm, including baby lettuces, baby bok choy, garlic scapes, and more.

🍒 Looking beyond New Jersey, we're also featuring Washington sweet cherries, Georgia peaches, Florida sweet corn, Cotton Candy grapes, Cara Cara oranges, and several other customer favorites.

🥬 CSA members: The 2026 Vegetable CSA season is officially underway! Medford pickups are available Friday and Saturday.

🌿 Still need to plant your garden? There's plenty of time to plant tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, melons, herbs, and more. We still have a great selection of healthy plants available, and our staff is always happy to help with growing advice.
