October at Lower Forge:
Come for the B**r, Stay for the Chaos
Wowza! There’s usually a little more time and space between these updates, but there is SO much happening around Historic Medford Village (https://medfordmainstreet.com/) right now that I don’t want anybody to miss it!
Some are annual traditions, some are brand-new opportunities to eat, drink and be merry — and yes, that was my subtle reminder that Merry Main Street will be back after Thanksgiving. 🎄
But first, we have a whole lot of FALL to get through!
The Scarecrow Contest, Trick or Treat, Food Trucks, Fall Festival and, capping it all off, the Halloween Parade. (http://www.medfordhalloweenparade.com/) I’m honestly not sure what I’m more excited about — everything happening at the brewery, everything happening on Main Street, or the fact that the weather is finally cooperating.
What’s your favorite part of fall in Medford?
Meanwhile, Sean and I are working on exciting b**rs and seltzers to keep up with all of these events. I get requests all the time for returning favorites, so we’ll see what we can make happen. We work with local farmers whenever possible, so sometimes what makes it into the brew schedule depends on what we can get our hands on.
Of course, I have a personal agenda here. I like browns and ambers. So there’s surely one coming eventually. 😉

😂 Laughter on Tap — Our monthly comedy open mic. No cover, plenty of laughs, and a great chance to get on stage or simply enjoy some local comedy.
Saturday, October 17
🎤 Extra Karaoke! Because apparently once a month just isn't enough. Fall Festival on Main Street starting at noon. Karaoke at 7 pm.
The scarecrows will be on display until Friday, October 23rd - the day before Main Street Trick or Treating and the Halloween Parade sponsored by the Medford-Vincentown Rotary. [While you are checking out the scarecrows, don't forget to stop and say hello to Flora the Troll who is tucked in between Jenni's Goodies and The Assurance Group's porch.]
And somewhere in between all of that, we’ll have a few surprises up our sleeves.
Because that's really what we love about Lower Forge. Sometimes you come for the event. Sometimes you come because you want a good b**r. And sometimes you just end up sitting around with friends, having a great conversation and enjoying a little adult decompression from work, responsibilities and the general craziness of the world.
