Mya & Mizza’s chapter comes to a close! It was a wild ride, and I couldn’t think of a better way to officially retire this pair than being named “Show Gilt of the Year!”

As said many times before, we will forever be grateful for Mya, her family, and the entire Danner Livestock crew! We are proud to have raised an animal this level of quality, and we’re fortunate she found the barn she did!

We couldn’t be anymore excited to have been invited to this year’s Perfect Timing Sale hosted in Oklahoma City!
Being a part of any live sale is a jolt, but the history and atmosphere of PT is pretty incredible!

▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️▪️

We knew with our invitation we wanted to make sure we put our best foot forward to bring our very best, cut ties with a couple that generally would never leave, and turn away offers out of the barn inquiring about these 3.
We held this group of three back specifically for PT ‘24, and we believe they represent the kind of animal we are trying to replicate in mass quantities.

All three are mates! And ALL THREE are FULL SIBS to Mya Holderly’s gilt that cut a pretty large swath in the Midwest this past summer. That gilt in particular was the high selling gilt at The Chosen One’s Vol. 1 at $23,000 placed by the Danner crew. Three of her highlights, of many, would be as follows:

👑Champion Crossbred Gilt at the 2024 NJSS
👑Supreme Overall Gilt at the 2024 IN State Fair
The mother of the 7’s and the gilt mentioned above originated from Premium Blend Genetics as a baby pig. She herself was never showcased as a baby because we knew she was special from day 1, and wanted to keep her close for safe keeping. Even before the event of Mya and Mizza winning the TRIPLE CROWN, we knew just how we were going to mate her back for her 2nd parity. It was a no brainer to create full sibs, and ultimately resulting in the 7 litter!
