🚨 BIG FARM UPDATE FROM THE BB 🚨

If you’ve driven by and thought
“Something’s different…”
You’re right.
It’s me. I’m different now.
Because I have fully, completely, and irreversibly entered my ✨Highland Cow Era✨
This is no longer a phase. This is who I am now.
Meet the reason:
🌾 Thistle – our 3-year-old Scottish Highland queen (also casually growing another cow like it’s no big deal 👀)
🍼 Thayne – our one-month-old bottle baby who I would now fight a bear for, no hesitation
I just want to be super clear with everyone:
I am not obsessed.
I am completely consumed.
These are no longer “the cows.”
These are my emotional support s**g carpets with legs.
Now a quick PSA before anyone gets any bright ideas 😅👇
With bigger animals… comes bigger everything.
👉 Bigger curiosity
👉 Bigger reactions
👉 And yes… more powerful senses
They are still settling in and can be a little skittish, so we’re giving them space to feel safe and get used to their new home 💛
Also… the fence is hot.
Like… not “haha maybe a little zap” hot.
More like “you will immediately rethink your life choices” hot.
We have tested this.
Against better judgment, Craig did encourage his brother-in-law to touch it…
and they can BOTH confirm… it is, in fact, very hot ⚡😂
So as funny as it would be to dare your relatives…
let’s maybe just… not.
You are always welcome to slow down and admire the fluff from a distance (we get it, it’s majestic 😌)
But for now, we’re letting Thistle and Thayne settle in, get comfortable, and realize they’ve officially upgraded their living situation.

The pigs are retiring from their glamorous life of sunbathing, apple-snacking, and mud spa treatments. 🐷💅

We’ve got 4 ½ pigs available (we’re keeping the other half because… well, bacon). Raised on pasture, antibiotic-free, and loved like family (but tastier).

🐖 Locally Raised Pasture Pork Available – The Bauman Barn

Friends & neighbors, it’s time! We’ve raised 5 happy pigs here on our farm, but we’ll be keeping a half for our own freezer – which means 4 ½ pigs are now available to local families.
These pigs have been:
✨ Raised with care on open pasture
✨ Fed apples from our 100-year-old apple tree
✨ Loved and looked after every single day
✨ Never given antibiotics

Buying local pork isn’t just about filling your freezer – it’s about supporting a Highland family, a small business, and sustainable farming that puts community first.

We’ll be coordinating with a trusted local butcher so the process is smooth and stress-free.

It’s Gordon bloody Ramsay here — and I’ve just stumbled across something so fresh, so flavorful, I nearly dropped my chef’s knife in disbelief.

The Bauman Barn Farm Stand — ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
Fresh pies that smell like heaven, taste like they were kissed by angels and baked by a grandma with magical powers. Eggs? So fresh the chickens practically handed them to me. And don’t even get me STARTED on the pickles. Big Dill Pickle Co. is crafting the kind of briny brilliance that makes you question every sad, soggy supermarket pickle you’ve ever tasted. Absolute LEGENDS. 🥒🔥

And then there's Boswell’s Beanery & Blends — stocking this place with pantry staples that are anything but basic. Sauces, seasonings, dips — it’s a full-blown flavor explosion. I took one bite and said, "This is what seasoning is supposed to taste like, you DONKEY!"

The BB Farm Stand has been fully restocked and is looking like one of those perfectly organized Pinterest pantries — but outside, and with way better snacks. 😂

🍳 EGGS — back in stock, chillin' with their cactus-shaped ice packs because even farm fresh eggs deserve to live their best life.

🥧 HALF PIES — Because sometimes you tell yourself "I'll just have a small slice," and then suddenly the whole half pie is gone and you swear it wasn’t you.

🍞 FRESH BREAD — The carbs are calling, friends. And who are we to deny them?

🌱 PLANT SALE — The babies have grown up and are ready to go home with you! Herbs, veggies & flowers are now $2 each or 3 for $5. Bring them home. Water them. Love them. Whisper to them if necessary.

The Bauman Barn is OPEN and RESTOCKED!
Your weekend just got way better.

We’re officially open for business, and the farm stand is bursting with goodies that'll make you wish you brought a bigger basket (or at least a snack on the drive home to hold you over). Here’s what’s waiting for you:
• Fresh-baked bread – both sweet AND savory because we don’t believe in choosing
• Jumbo strawberry streusel muffins – like if breakfast and dessert had a delicious baby
• PIES. Whole pies, half pies... because sometimes you want to share, and sometimes you want to hoard in peace
• Pickles that’ll make your tastebuds do the cha-cha
• Boswell’s Beanery & Blends products – dips, seasonings, soups, and instant cheesecakes
• Herbs, veggies, and fruit plants ready to find their forever homes

As of right now, the goats are in the pasture right next to the farm stand, living their best lawn-mowing lives. We’ll be rotating them to a new pasture later today, so if your weekend plans include goat greetings (as they should), come say hi while they’re still close!

Don’t sleep on it – literally, we’ve had folks show up in slippers. The good stuff goes FAST, and we love seeing our community stop by to say hi, grab a treat, and support this little dream of ours.

Come see us, bring a friend, and leave with something awesome (even if it’s just a muffin and a smile).

P.S. The goats requested pie too but were denied. Don’t be like the goats. Get your slice before it’s gone.

We’re BACK, baby! The BB Farm Stand is open again today!

Yes, we already sold out of eggs and bread because apparently y’all are hungry, carb-loving legends who sprint at the speed of light when fresh yeasted dough is mentioned. We’re flattered... and slightly frightened. Don’t worry—we’ll be restocking for next weekend, so your toast and French toast dreams can live on.

In the meantime, we’ve got a plant party going on over here:

Summer squash (zucchini for those ready to sneak it into everything)

Watermelon & cantaloupe (because fruit that doubles as a hydration plan = genius)

Tomatoes & peppers (aka salsa garden starter packs)

Marigolds & gerbera daisies (for that “I definitely have my life together” porch aesthetic)

We might be out of eggs, but we’re scrambling to keep the good stuff coming.

But seriously—THANK YOU. Yesterday was incredible. You showed up in the rain, you laughed with us, you pet goats, you cleared our shelves, and you made this little dream of ours feel real. We’re so proud to be a part of this amazing, supportive community. We love being able to give back, and your support helps us keep doing just that.

P.S. Just after we closed up shop yesterday, our head troublemaker Zeke (yes, the male goat) decided to throw an after-hours party in the garden. He was caught red-hooved in the act—there will be photographic evidence of this vegetable vandal. Mugshots attached!

TODAY’S THE DAY! (Kind of… please read on before grabbing your keys)

We technically opened the farm stand this morning, but Mother Nature said “lol no” and dumped a puddle party all over our plans. HOWEVER — the radar is finally showing some mercy and things are clearing up around noon!

So please, I’m begging (in a cute, small business kinda way) — come out this afternoon, say hi, pet a goat, support local, grab some goodies, and get yourself a FREE cookie from Cayla’s Confections because you deserve it.

So bring your boots, bring your buddies, bring your appetite, and come be part of Day 1 at The Bauman Barn Farm Stand. We promise it’ll be worth it (or at least mildly entertaining).
