Some of you may have heard already…but our sloth family is now complete. Meet Gordy! 🦥❤️
We’ve been caring for this little guy behind the scenes for a while now as he’s been growing, developing and settling in, and we’re so excited to finally introduce him!
Gordy is our youngest two-toed sloth and came to us from another licensed facility. He’ll now be growing up here at Majestic Meadows alongside Grover and Ivy. 💕
Since Gordy is still young, we’ve been giving him plenty of time to get comfortable with his care team, adjust to his new home and settle in at his own pace. Now that he’s had that time, Gordy has officially joined Grover and Ivy as part of our Sloth Encounters! 🦥
Just like with Grover and Ivy, our encounters are animal-led and participation is always their choice. They are never forced to come down or interact, and some days they may be curious and social while other days they would rather relax and observe from above. Their comfort, welfare and trust always come first.
We’re so excited to start sharing more of Gordy, Grover and Ivy with you and give guests the opportunity to learn more about two-toed sloths and the care that goes into keeping them happy and healthy!
