💙 Kids Eat Free Snoballs is Back! 💙

A few years ago, I saw a story about someone doing something special for local kids and thought, “I wish we could do something like that.”

I remember looking at Mr. Nola and asking, “Can we make it happen?”

Of course, he said yes. 😉

A few days later, we were serving free snoballs.

What I didn’t realize at the time was that it would become one of our favorite days of the year.

Every year, we get to watch kids excitedly pick their flavors, families spend time together, friends run into each other, and our community slow down for a little while.

One year, a mom shared that her son rarely wanted to leave his room. But that day, he couldn’t wait to come. Later, I watched them walking through the park together, laughing and talking, snoballs in hand.

I still think about that sometimes.

Because at the end of the day, it was never really about the snoballs.

It’s about the smiles, the memories, the families, and the community.

This year is especially exciting because, for the first time, we’ll be hosting Kids Eat Free Snoballs at Nola’s.

After changing our minds approximately 47 times, we’ve finally settled on game access pricing. 😂

Access to our game library is now included with a $5 purchase per person.

Grab a coffee, a snoball, a beignet, a soda, or whatever sounds good and stay awhile. With 125+ games in our library, there’s plenty to choose from.

Want to bring your crochet, macramé, scrapbook, sketchbook, or other project? We love that too. Crafters are always welcome. Just make a $5 purchase per person and make yourself at home.

One of our favorite things about Nola’s is seeing people use the space in different ways. Some come to play games. Some come to create. Some come to catch up with friends. Some just need to get out of the house for a bit.

Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring a date. Bring your latest craft project. Come sip, play, and create with us. ❤️

And if you happen to overhear us discussing Dough Fight Round 2, arguing about po’boys, planning new classes, or coming up with our next crazy idea… that’s included too. 😂

We’re building the kind of place we’d want to hang out in, and we’re glad so many of you have decided to hang out here too.

☀️ It’s a beautiful day to cool off.

The AC is on, the snowballs are flowing, and our frozen drinks are ready for a hot summer day.

Grab a snowball, frozen hot chocolate, or frozen café mocha. Then stick around for a board game, a roast beef po’ boy, or a muffuletta and make a night of it.

We’re open until 10 PM tonight.

✨ Talk of the Town ✨

This week, we’re shining a light on the Canal Village Farmers’ Market. 🌽🍯🎶

The Canal Village Farmers' Market is where our journey started.

A few years ago, they gave us the opportunity to introduce one of our favorite New Orleans traditions to Western New York: snowballs. It’s where we hosted our first Kids Eat Free Day, learned the art of snowball making, and met so many wonderful people.

The market gives local farmers, crafters, makers, and small businesses a place to share what they do with the community. From fresh produce, honey, microgreens, baked goods, and artisan crafts to live music, family activities, and community events, there’s always something to discover.

And let’s be honest, who doesn’t love filling a bag with local goodies and then heading over for one of Juan’s El Gran Burritos? 🌯

More than anything, the market brings people together. Neighbors run into neighbors, families spend a Saturday morning together, and local businesses get the chance to connect with the people they serve.

The Canal Village Farmers’ Market helped launch our journey, and we’re grateful to everyone who works so hard to make it a success year after year. Medina is better because of it. ❤️

One of our favorite things about Nola’s is seeing creativity take on a life of its own.

What started with a handful of classes and projects has grown into workshops, take-home kits, and creative experiences for all ages, and we’re excited to continue expanding our selection!

Whether you’re looking for a rainy-day activity, a creative date night, a family project, something for the kids during summer break, or just a relaxing evening to yourself, we’ve got plenty of options to choose from.

From fairy houses and macramé projects to crochet bookmarks, painted gift bags, magnets, and more, there’s something for every age and skill level.

Of course, you’re always welcome to join us for a workshop or create right here in the café. But if you’d rather craft from the comfort of home, we’ve got you covered there too.

Stop in, check out what’s new, and find your next project. We think you’ll be surprised by how many creative options are waiting for you.

🚨 Sneak Peek Tonight! 🚨

The official launch is tomorrow, but we’re starting a little early.

Starting at 5 PM tonight, our Roast Beef Po’Boys will be available!

🥪 Half Po’Boy (7”) – $14
A hearty meal all by itself.

🥪 Whole Po’Boy (14”) – $24
Bring your appetite.

Hot roast beef, American cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and brown gravy on French bread.

Make it a combo for just $3:
🥤 Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, or Barq’s
🥔 Zapp’s Voodoo Chips

Made to order. Pickles can be added, and onions can be removed… which my sister from New Orleans would probably prefer. 😂

And yes, I’m still allowed to visit home.
