Good morning! This morning for breakfast, I decided to try one of the fall squashes that we sell at the store. This is a Honeynut squash. It a small, sweet winter squash variety that looks like a miniature butternut squash. It is a bit sweeter than butternut squash.

I put one in a bowl, covered half of it with water, and microwaved it for about 10 minutes. Take out of microwave, place on a plate and cut it in half. Scoop out the small amount of seeds and sprinkle with brown sugar and butter. It was sweet enough that it didn’t need any sugar, but I like sugar. 😊 Come see us at 2130 Highway 18, Medon today to grab one of these little sweet treats.
