today was one of the saddest days in the history of FARMINZ FUN DAIRY today at 3:00 becky walked the last milking unit in to the milk house for the last time ever then becky and I cried our eyes out as our baby's where loaded on a semi and headed to Richland Center to be sold at a dairy sale on Wednesday I never thought it would be so hard to see them go you know some days you wounder why do I do this every day but at the end of the day or at some time of the day you remember that you don't do it for the money or for the fame you do it for the love of farming knowing you did the best for the girls feed them the best feed and t**e the best care of them you could I love what do and I do what I love and that was dairy farm FARMINZ FUN if it wasn't you would I do it every day 😔😔😢😢

The newest member of our herd and our very first registered Ayrshire for our herd.

Congratulations to Becky Salm, the 2018 Beginning in Ayrshires Grant winner. She used her $1000 grant to help fund her purchase of this calf

it was a fun night last night at the farm emma and leah came and wanted to walk the fair calves that they showed last year emma is very persistent that she is going to show April thus year so she says she will work with her every day till the fair we will see how long that last

It's been a long time since the last time we posted but we had super surprise this week we had 2 new heifer calves witch was nice since the last 15 cows that freshened had bulls the bigger one is like 75 # and the littler one is only like 25 #

In our small herd, we usually have about 3 animals calve each month. In December we have 8 heifers and 6 cows. This is the heifer I am most excited about. We lost her mom this year and she was such a spectacular milker. Bring on my calvalanche!
