Antlers Ranch

Antlers Ranch The Antler was originally a cattle ranch, but in 1997 the decision was made to sell all the cattle and invest in buffalo.

Once on the brink of extinction, the majestic American bison now number in excess of 100,000 due in large part to the commitment and modernization of ranching operations in the U.S. Our buffalo do very well in Northern Wyoming in the mountainous terrain and plentiful grass and water. Our animals are rasied for meat production. In large multi-acre pastures they are free to roam in the most natural

of enviroments without the use of antibiotics and growth hormones. Considered to be in their prime at 2-3 years for meat harvesting, we sell a percentage of our herd to a national distributor. The remaining are sold coast to coast and marketed from our ranch headquarters. When a buffalo is harvested, we market as much as the animal as possible. The hide is tanned for rugs, throws, bedding, or as leather used to make purses, shoes, pillows, and furniture. More close to home, we have a gentleman that uses the rib bones for knife handles sold nation-wide. The skulls are even used for artistic and decorative purposes.
