Well… August decided it wasn’t done with us yet. Our truck broke down this morning, so we won’t be able to make it to the Farmville Community Market today. I’m so over things breaking this month, but we’re rolling with it the best we can.

We will still be vending at the Lynchburg Community Market today, so if you’re in that area, come see us there. We'll be offering free samples of our mango and habanero hot sauce and our new Carolina reaper hot sauce. 🔥

To our Farmville customers — I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience. If you were planning to shop with us today, we’ve got you covered. Any online orders placed for pickup will receive free porch delivery in the Farmville area (minimum $25 purchase). And don't forget to show the Farmville market vendors some love today.

Last week at the Powhatan Farmers Market, we were caught in a sudden severe thunderstorm — 60 mph winds, pouring rain, even hail. In the moment, adrenaline took over and we powered through it. It wasn’t until we were driving home with damaged products and soaked gear that the anxiety finally hit.

Today at RounTrey, the wind picked up again. Nothing dangerous, just a few gusts that toppled our lightweight tea display. But my chest tightened anyway. My mind knew we were safe, the sky was clear, and there was no storm coming… yet my body remembered last week.

I’m sharing this because many of us carry stress from moments we “powered through.” Healing doesn’t always happen on a schedule. Trauma sticks around longer than we expect. I’m still working through it, and that's okay. I know I will be ok.

Thank you for being part of a community that feels safe, steady, and supportive — even on the windy days.

The puppies are starting to go to their new homes this week. This is this girl's last day with us until she goes to her new family. It's always bittersweet as we grow attached to them, but I know that they're going to wonderful new homes and it makes it all worth it. We'll be enjoying our last day of puppy cuddles with Sugar tonight. 🐶 💕

With potential storms rolling in ⛈️⚡, and abundance of caution, the Powhatan Farmer's Market was cancelled today. Since hubby and I were already on our way there when we got the call, we decided to have an impromptu date night instead and visit our favorite Mexican restaurant in Farmville: La Parota. If you've never been, you definitely should stop by. Some of the best Mexican cuisine we've had.
