Busy busy first week of January!
I don't have pictures of everything, but I will try to take more later.
We finally finished up our deer meat, we have deer "bacon" curing. We are almost finished with the new hutch for the lionhead bucks. We put in a new kitchen cabinet, and with temps in the 70s, I got the laundry on the lines.
More to come!!

Well people, tomorrow is December and we have been so busy here that time has flown right on by. October and November have been full of harvesting, preserving, cleaning and preparing.
Whe are now full into harvesting deer and getting up the Christmas lights.

What a busy busy summer this was. Some of the garden just didn't produce, but the rest made up for it.
We put up more than 300 jars of food, not to mention freezing, dehydrating, and meat.
Here area few we entered in the 5 County fair.
9 entries, 8 ribbons.

It's time to start getting those fall carrots and greens into the ground in our zone 7a gardens. 🥕🥬

Pam managed the garden at our sister community, Twin Oaks, growing vegetables year round to feed 100 people for 20 years.

Sometimes life gets busy and you forget things you should and should not do.
I know that I haven't posted anything in a while, and sometimes I think that what I do isn't that important to you.
But what is important to me is spreading knowledge of self-sufficiency.
