Celebrating a decade in the District🌱
When Loren, owner of The Yoga Garden, first found EGAD, it felt familiar.
Coming from New York City and graduating from the School of Visual Arts, the art, historic buildings, architecture, and creative energy of the district reminded them of home, but it was the community that made them stay.
Over the past decade, they've watched EGAD grow and evolve, shaped by countless creative voices and people sharing what they love from art and craft to coffee, dance, yoga, and everything in between.

And in a world of increasingly corporate everything, they believe places like EGAD matter.
Small businesses need communities that value them. Neighborhoods need people who choose local. And unique places need people willing to protect what makes them different.
“What keeps me excited to be here after 10 years is that EGAD has grown and changed, but its purpose and mission as a whole has been unwavering. 10 years in, and I still see a community of people that want to support each other....That want to support local....That want to sustain the unique, eccentric, historic neighborhood that EGAD is.” — Loren
