❤️ We need to stand together, support one another, and fight to preserve every bit of farmland and ranchland we all have left! 🌾🐄🇺🇸

It doesn’t matter if you own 5 acres, 50 acres, or 5,000 acres. If you farm, ranch, or live off the land, we are all fighting the same battle. This is more than just land to us. It’s our heritage, our livelihood, our families’ history, and a way of life that has been passed down through generations. And I can promise you, we are NOT going down without a fight!

One of the most heartbreaking things is watching the land around us disappear. We are being surrounded by development, contractors, and decisions made by cities and counties that seem to value more buildings and roads over preserving the very land and families that helped build these communities.

And what makes it even harder? The rumors and assumptions.

People see construction going up around our farms and ranches and automatically assume the farmers and ranchers are selling out. PLEASE understand that is NOT always the case! Many of us are doing everything in our power to HOLD ON to what our families have worked generations to build.

There is a HUGE difference between families who have spent their lives working, caring for, and living off the land and those who simply own property as an investment. Unfortunately, when surrounding properties are sold and developed, it’s often the remaining farmers and ranchers who suffer the consequences.

We are becoming outnumbered by development, but that does NOT mean we should be outnumbered by support!

Before spreading rumors, leaving negative reviews, or making accusations, PLEASE take the time to learn the facts. Talk to the families. Listen to their stories. Understand what they’re fighting for. You may be surprised by how hard some of us are fighting just to keep what we already have.

We don’t need more people tearing each other down. We need people standing together, lifting each other up, and protecting what’s left.

Because once these farms and ranches are gone, THEY ARE GONE FOREVER. You cannot replace generations of history, hard work, traditions, and memories with another subdivision or shopping center.

Support your local farmers. Support your ranchers. Support agricultural families, whether their land is big or small. We need each other now more than ever.

This isn’t just about saving land. It’s about preserving a way of life for our children, grandchildren, and generations we may never get to meet.

Rumor Alert & A Personal Note

​I keep seeing negative feedback and reviews popping up claiming that I'm selling off my farm land to housing developers. I just want to address this directly: please don’t believe everything you hear.

​I grew up right here in Palm Bay, and for years, it broke my heart to watch so much local land get sold off and paved over. That’s why I took every single penny I had—going broke more than once along this journey—to buy back land and preserve it as a working farm for our community.

​I know there are houses surrounding my farm now, but that doesn't mean I'm selling out. In fact, I am actively doing the exact opposite.

​It really hurts my heart to see all this negativity poured out on my farm, especially when I've put everything on the line to keep this space open and green. I truly believe that if people knew the real story and what it took for me to build and protect this place, these rumors would carry a completely different weight.

​Thank you to everyone who has stepped foot past the entrance, supported what I do, and helped me keep agriculture alive in Palm Bay. I’m here for the long haul, and I appreciate every one of you who continues to stand with me! 🌾🚜

🧡 A Little Love & Appreciation From The Platt’s Patch! 🎃🐪🐐

One thing we’ve learned over these 3 years is that when you open your gates to the public, you quickly realize you can’t make everyone happy, or control the weather .. And that’s okay! ❤️

What many people don’t see is the amount of hard work, long days, sleepless nights, stress, planning, and financial commitment that goes into putting on something like our Fall Festival. It’s so much more than just opening our gates on the weekends. There’s an incredible amount of love, time, and effort poured into every little detail, all while continuing to care for our rescue animals, and our working Ranch.

We’ve definitely learned to grow some thick skin along the way! 😂 But for every negative comment, there are so many wonderful families, smiling faces, kind words, and unforgettable moments that remind us exactly why we do this. 🧡

And let me tell you, those kind words mean more than you probably realize!
