Another super successful Oktoberfest at Advent Lutheran Church this past Saturday with a total of 96 bottles of homebrew consumed, 60 German Dark and 36 Brown Ales made the traditional dinner satisfying for all those patrons. Thank you all!

Bottled the triple Hallertau lager I brewed on September 18. The final SG 1.013 and will be an interesting flavor very rich and smooth.

There are fifty bottles of Oktoberfest getting 'bottle time' for Saturday! There should be enough time to get the carbonation in the brew.

Oktoberfest has begun; the yeast has been pitched into a 1.052 SG wort triple hopped with Hallertau throughout the brewing and the last one added at the finish. Sorry, no pictures for this one; we will see it at Advent Lutheran Church Oktoberfest Celebration this coming October 18.

The Black Lager has finished fermenting. the final SG was 1.018 and will be bottled shortly... here is what it looks like and what is left at the bottom of the fermenter
