Consistent cold temperatures are helping ice form fast on Minnesota's lakes. We know many are eager to get out for the start of the winter season, but patience isn't just key for fishing.

⚠️ There is no such thing as 100% safe ice. Your safety is your responsibility!

📏 Be prepared: Know the ice thickness guidelines, check for yourself, wear a life jacket or float coat/suit, and always have ice picks ready.
