Good evening y’all. It’s Aly ❤️
I just want to take a minute tonight and talk to y’all from my heart. No fancy business post, no trying to make everything sound perfect. Just me being real with y’all.
Running a business has been one of the biggest blessings of my life. When we started The Grove Shack, I never could have imagined where it would take us or how many amazing people I would meet along the way. So many of y’all started out as customers and somehow turned into friends, supporters, and honestly… family.
And now with Noah’s Purpose becoming part of this journey, it means even more to me.
But if I’m being completely honest… these last few months have really drained me.
I’m a person who wants everything to be perfect. I want everything to run smoothly. I want everybody taken care of. I want our employees happy, our customers happy, our kids happy, and I want everything to go the way I have it pictured in my head.
And lately… it just hasn’t.
Life has been life.
Things have been hard. Things have been messy. Things haven’t always gone the way I wanted them to, and I’ve found myself putting so much pressure on myself to keep everything going that I forgot that it’s okay to just stop for a minute and breathe.
That’s honestly why I haven’t been posting as much.
It’s not because I don’t care.
It’s actually the complete opposite.
I care so much that sometimes I just don’t have anything left to give.
And I’ve felt guilty about that.
I felt like I should be posting more. Doing more. Planning more. Making everything better.
But I had to take a little pause.
And in that pause, I remembered why we are doing all of this in the first place.
I remembered Noah.
I remembered why Noah’s Purpose was created.
I remembered the kids.
I remembered the families who have walked up to our window and told us how much it means to have a place where their child can be themselves.
I remembered watching our kids work, laugh, learn, and just be kids.
I remembered all the hugs.
All the smiles.
All the crazy days where nothing went right but somehow we laughed about it anyway.
And I remembered…
This was never supposed to be perfect.
It was supposed to be real.
It was supposed to be about people.
It was supposed to be about giving our kids a place where they feel important and needed and loved.
It was supposed to be about creating opportunities.
It was supposed to be about building a village.
And somewhere along the way, I got so caught up in trying to make everything perfect that I forgot that the imperfect moments are probably the ones that matter the most.
So I’m taking a breath.
I’m giving myself a little grace.
And I’m ready to get back to it.
So y’all… LET’S GO! ❤️
We have some fun things coming up, and I’m so excited to get back to sharing them with y’all.
🎃🚗 OCTOBER 10TH — OUR TRUNK OR TREAT & CAR SHOW! 🚗🎃
⏰ 4–7 PM
❤️ Sponsored by the AMAZING Limelight Car Club
So mark your calendars because we are going to have a night full of cars, candy, fidget toys, fun, and hopefully a whole lot of smiles!
We would absolutely love donations of candy and fidget toys for the kids. If you can help us with that, please know how much we appreciate it.
And if you’re a vendor and would like to set up with us, send me a message! We have 10 spots available.
And y’all, I really want you to understand something.
You might think you’re just stopping by to grab lunch.
You might think you’re just buying some produce.
You might think you’re just sharing one of our posts.
But to us, those little things mean SO much.
Because you aren’t just supporting a business.
You’re supporting what we are trying to build.
You’re helping us create something for our kids.
You’re helping us create opportunities for people who sometimes don’t get the opportunities they deserve.
You’re helping us create a place where families can come and feel welcome.
And honestly, I don’t think I could ever thank y’all enough for that.
Thank you for sticking with us.
Thank you for understanding when things haven’t been perfect.
Thank you for loving our crazy little family and all these crazy kids we have running around.
😂❤️
Thank you for believing in Noah’s Purpose.
Thank you for believing in The Grove Shack.
And thank you for believing in ME, even on the days when I’m not sure I believe in myself.
I don’t know exactly where all of this is going.
I don’t know what the future looks like.
But I know I’m not ready to give up.
I know there is a reason we started this.
And I know when I look around at the people who have come alongside us, I realize just how incredibly blessed we really are.
We may not have it all figured out.
We may have some crazy days.
We may change plans 15 times before the day is over. 😂
But we have heart.
We have a purpose.
And we have one heck of a village.
So here’s to taking a breath, getting back up, remembering our WHY, and getting back to doing what we love.
This isn’t just a business to me.
It’s my heart.
It’s our family.
It’s Noah’s Purpose.
And it’s our village.
And y’all…
we are just getting started. ❤️
