Today, the market is still going strong, supported by the over 100 members of the Cooperative. In 2010, the USDA officially decl

ared the Farmers Market in Menands a Regional Food Hub. Our members come from 15 different counties around the Capital Region. Our mission is that the Capital District Cooperative shall provide a central and proper location for local Capital District agriculture producers to market their product. This goal, as from our cooperative inception, must be for the purpose of continued success and sustainability of the Capital District agriculture enterprises to benefit the whole community.

Big Pet Connection Adoption Day this Saturday. It’s 10am to 2pm at the Capital District Regional Market in Menands, in the huge Pavillion. We are under cover so we don’t have to worry about the weather !

Pet Connection will sponsor $50 off all adoptions this day or applications that lead to an adoption

If you’ve never been here, it’s absolutely amazing. So much room and it’s a perfect location right off of Broadway.

At the market, they’ll be a whole bunch of great vendors, local produce, and local strawberries!

This is going to be a special day for the Menands Fire Department. The Farmers Market will be selling slices of pizza and water for a $5 minimum donation or a slice of pizza for a $3 minimum donation. 50% of the proceeds will go to the Menands Fire Department that was so heavily damaged during the recent fire. The food begins at 11:30 AM in the market tent. You can’t miss it. I will be there as well.

I will also be selling some merchandise. For those of you that missed out, I will be selling Lisa CAPP‘s legacy merchandise that we had at the celebration of life. We have most sizes, but we don’t have a lot of quantity so please stop by.

Here are the rescue groups that will be in attendance. Stop by and support them and maybe you’ll find that forever pet that needs to be part of your family.
