Let them eat cake! 🧁🥰

It’s no secret cake is one of the ultimate comfort desserts! We’re starting the week with two delicious delicacies:

- light, fluffy coffee cake topped with toasted pecans
- creamy cheesecake with a graham cracker base and a light hint of citrus 🍰🍋

Early versions of cheesecake were made from cheese, honey, and flour. It was also enjoyed as a hearty, sustaining food during festivals and celebrations!

It’s technically a proven energy booster 😉

Conchas are making their first appearance in our bakery case this weekend! 🐚💖 Named after the Spanish word for “shell,” conchas are soft Mexican sweet breads topped with a delicate sugar crust that’s scored to look like a seashell. They’re lightly sweet and especially good with a Saturday morning cup of coffee. ☕️

We also have four more Saturday specials waiting in the bakery case:

🍩 Fresh cake donuts
🫐 Cream cheese fruit tartlets topped with blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries

Some days the kitchen feels a little quieter, and that’s usually when the cookbooks start calling 📚✨

Today the shelves are full of delicious trouble 😋 — bacon recipes that vanish the second they hit a plate, the book Open-Faced with its elegant sandwiches and soft, romantic photography, and a few wrapped mystery picks for anyone who likes a creative nudge. There’s always something new to learn, and good food has a way of making the effort feel worth it 🥓📖🌿

Ever wonder why our espresso shots taste so delicious? 🧐☕️
We use Central and South American robusta beans, medium roast, with notes of caramel and hazelnut and a gentle acidity that keeps everything balanced. Robusta adds a little extra crema and strength compared to arabica, which is why the shot comes out so smooth. The machine gets tuned in every morning so the pull stays steady.

Happy Summer, y’all! … unofficially 😉

Memorial Day weekend slipped right into a new season, and you can feel it in the shop — brighter mornings through the front windows, specialty iced drinks going quickly, and a steady stream of folks passing through before heading out into the heat☀️

We’re adding our new salted caramel macchiato to the summer coffee lineup 🧡☕️ There’s a striking layering effect in our macchiato, with milk below and espresso sitting on top — and it is absolutely divine! ✨

Even after yesterday’s storms, we’re leaning right back into a little summer magic with our Sunkissed Latte — a bright blend of cherry and vanilla, topped with whip or sweet cold foam 💖 That soft blush-pink color alone is basically a mood boost in a cup 🥰
