We have started a supplemental cottonseed feeding program through the spring and summer months, in addition to our continued year round protein. We plan to monitor this first site to make sure hogs do not eat it all before increasing the feed locations. Supposedly cottonseed makes hogs sick (can only be digested by ruminants), we will see how it works out.
Had an encounter with a big rattler while setting out our cottonseed, first of the spring. Keep you eyes open when turkey hunting or looking for sheds.
